Crowdfunding
Crowdfunding [ˈkɹaʊdˌfʌndiŋ] (from English crowd '(human) crowd' and funding 'financing'), also swarm financing, group financing.
The great masters known today were all supported by princes and kings and, in the 20th century, by business magnates.
In the 21st century there are still patrons, but I have no contacts with them because, until Corona, I wanted to and was able to build my career on my own.
After Corona, the rules of the game have changed for me and I am now adapting: Crowdfunding - like Patreon - is, thanks to the Internet, the new way for artists to successfully set up costly projects.
